This has become the perfect setup for me. My original M50 for creative shots I can edit in (ex: Canon 11-22mm for WS or Nifty Fifty for creative shots). Lenses: Sigma 16mm 1.4 and Canon 22mm 2.0 lenses. This is what I now plan to use:Ģ Mark II for multicam. I can load custom picture profile for colour correction. I did a zoom call yesterday with my ATEM mini Pro ISO, it works a charm. To my surprise, it stays on for hours via HDMI out. When you open ATEM Setup, you'll see two buttons. I ordered the camera anyways, and tested it. One is called ATEM Software Control, which is the app to control the switcher via software, and the other is the ATEM Setup which sets up basic settings like network access, but also runs the software updates. I even asked support, they told me the camera would stop after 30 minutes. The clean HDMI is mentioned clearly as a feature for the Mark II on Canon’s website, but nothing about this 30 minutes limit. HOWEVER, if you use Canon M50 Mark II, it works. No clean HDMI out: you have to go manual focus to get rid of the info and focus box. If you choose Blackmagic’s ATEM mini with classic M50, you have to use the HDMI out of the Canon. You can use ECAM live on MacOS, but not only am I not a Mac owner, I also don’t want to pay another subscription for a software. If you want a multicam setup, it becomes more complicated. It works super well, I’ve organised zoom meetings for hours using this. You can use a Canon M50 with EOS Utility if you use a single camera setup. I searched the internet for so long to find this information without success, I thought I would share for those who want to stream multi camera using ATEM mini.
